Aara - Soma

Soma is Aara’s 2026 Summer Special!

Unbelievably soft and fluffy and it’s easy to knit. Soma works well on its own, and also mixes well with other yarns. The yarn is a mix of merino wool and silk. You can try for example to knit the iconinc Lento by combining Soma with a fingering weight yarn. In the photos you can see a glimpse of Jonna’s project made from Soma and Kuura. 

As each skein is a piece of hand-painted art, there are no identical skeins. It is recommended that for larger projects in the same colour, you should knit in stripes, alternating skeins every 2 rows.

Aara is lovely hand-dyed yarn, dyed in Finland. Aara's colours are created with visions of like-minded friends, inspiration as well as co-incidences.
